Well I'm in a little conundrum. My oil filter housing is missing the plastic portion of the filter mount. Really do not want to change the whole filter assembly. Anyone have one lying around?

What piece are you missing? The filter cage or the drain back plunger? Or something else?

 

Plastic cage. Have spring .

 

Looking at my oil filter from the outside I don’t see a plastic cage. The only plastic I know of is on the inside.

 

This is the style I have.
The filter are getting harder to find. Trying to avoid swapping out oil filter housing assembly.
