Milltek Catted Downpipe and ECU Tune???

Thinking of adding the Milltek 2.75" Catted Downpipe to my Mini JCW and was wondering which Stage 2 ECU Tune is needed to turn off check engine light AND boost horsepower?
This will be my winter project...have looked into Evolve Tune. Just wondering about any other suggestions. I almost wish there was also a way to decode the stock ECU so the Milltek doesn't trigger the Check Engine Light.

ECS Tuning...Where are you? :-)

Pretty sure you can code out the CEL with any tune that isn't a piggyback. My RPM tune got rid of mine.

Marioart contacted me about a tune and his downpipe. I will probably go with his tune BUT for SCCA STU Class I have to have a Catted Downpipe. I will most likely go with the Milltek Catted Downpipe and the MarioKart Tune. The tune will get me up to the HP/Torque numbers I think the stock Mini B48 can handle with my mods that also affect HP. AWE Intake, NM Exhaust and Milltek Downpipe...plus The Stage 2 tune...probably around 285hp/315#s Torque.

Since there's two catalytic converter you can remove one and rely on the second cat in the front converter to fulfill ST requirements, you'll give up some power staying catted in the downpipe.

Be wary of that other downpipe. to lower the price of exhaust components, many cheap companies will use thinner gauge metal which will resonate differently and drone, as well as not last as long. there is a reason that miltek has the reputation it does and offers a lifetime warranty on their product.

I have the Miltek in my JCW and it is an amazing piece. also, no need to tune for CEL with catted. I have only popped a code once when I floored it in eco mode to make a pass on a highway. code went away the next drive. I've tracked and autoxed with it and no codes at all in those events. I run the Racechip GTS until I have finished all the mods I want to do and am out of warranty before going full ECU tune. Wont be using RPM though.

Once my downpipe comes back for Swain Coating (White Lightning Coating) I will install and see if any codes pop up...then probably remove 2nd cat and install bypass pipe. Maybe I should just run the NM Power Module I have and see how it does with the new downpipe...

Darby - how your CAT turn out? What are your thoughts on the workmanship and potential long term use on this?

The Downpipe is still at Swain Coatings...they are swamped...as for the Downpipe itself??? Was built correct with great materials and great price. With this catted 2.75" Stainless Steel Downpipe and the NM Engineeing "off road" exhaust and the MarioKart RPM Stage 2 Tune, the Darby's Mini JCW should definitely feel and pull better. The WaveTrac should help control the extra power coming...
