Gauging interest in custom specced Volk TE37 Sagas
Category: Wheels & Tires Price: $3200 Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing Part fits (you may select multiples): F55, F56 Location (Region): NorthWest Item Condition: Brand New
I've been having trouble finding wheels that I like that also have good fitment so I reached out to Evasive Motorsports about having a set of wheels custom made. Tony says that they can do a custom specced run of wheels if 5-10 sets are ordered. Pricing will likely be the normal $800 a wheel although Tony says that he might be able to get Volk to discount by 5-10%.
Specs would be 17" or 18". Either fit but prefer I 17" due to them being lighter. Width is 7.5". Offset would be around +40. Centerbore 66.6mm

The car in the picture isn't mine but it's really similar. But yes to the wheels although they're a different spec. The wheels in the pic are 18x8.5 +42 and poke a tad so not really conducive to lowering more than a very modest amount.
Possibly? I have yet to get an answer for that. There was someone in a group I'm in on Facebook that wanted the diamond gunmetal color instead of bronze. Since the real work will be making the wheels in a non-standard spec I don't see why we couldn't get different colors since that's easy in comparison.
I believe the wheels in the pics are TE-37 Saga's which are already available in 18x7.5 +42, 18x8 +50, and 18x8.5 +42. All these would fit on the mini, maybe you need spacers but center bore and PCD are all good. If you really wanted 17's you could even get the 17x7.5 in 5x114.3 and use wobble bolts. Not sure how 'custom' you desire but I think you can more than work with the choices you already have.

You're right but those aren't the routes I want to take. I've thought about wobble bolts but I don't trust them to hold up under track use. If I'm spending $3k+ on wheels then I want perfect fitment. It won't cost any extra to have customs made. Volk just wants enough sales to make it worth their time. If I don't have enough people for 5-10 sets by the time I'm ready to buy wheels that's okay. I'll just have to go with Work wheels which let me specify the offset. I prefer the looks of these Volks but I'd rather compromise on the aesthetics of the wheel rather than fitment.
The 18x8 +50 fit but will require spacers around 10mm to clear aftermarket suspension.
The 18x8.5 +42 are what's on the car in the picture in post #1 and already poke. They're also require ~10mm spacers.
And if you have a link for Sagas in 5x112 18x7.5 +42 send me that link because that's pretty much perfect. But I haven't found anyone selling them in that size.
Check out Ray's website they list two 18x7.5 in 5x112. It must be new though cause I don't remember seeing these two sizes before, I'm sure a vendor somewhere can order it for you. If I were tracking I would probably try to squeeze in 225's in which case 8" would be more ideal but 215's on 7.5" are not bad either. The F56 has such a frustratingly small wheel well...

Huh. Yeah, I see those sizes now but haven't seen anyone selling them. I'll ask Evasive about them. As for the tire width I would love to do 8". But as I'm not being super competitive with the car - just local club events - 7.5" will have to do as it let's me lower as much as I want. There's an odd balance that I'm seeking.
I bypassed the US vendors that said they can't get them and NENGUN acquired and shipped them to my door within three weeks. Even with air freight, total cost was still significantly less than what the knuckle-heads over here wanted for them. Don't forget center caps if they don't come with them.

Thanks! I sent Nengun an email asking if they could get either the SAGAs or Time Attacks in the size I need. I'm not sure why no shop seems to have them.
On the topic of track wheels, have you considered the BBS RF line? Lightweight, forged, and comes in sizes/offsets that you might be looking for. Also they have a distributor in the US so faster delivery. I run 17x7.5 +45 on mine with 215/45 tires and they're awesome.

I think it’s because they are made to order. NENGUN’s site even states that but the good news is that it’s available.

I have! I like both the RF and RGR. But I like the Volks more. If I can't get TE37s that fit well those two are serious contenders due to their much lower price.

Tony at Evasive responded and said a batch will be finishing in January and he'll have them in Feb or Mar. That's actually pretty good timing for me. I haven't heard back from Nengun yet.
