Can I switch a 2011-13 engine into a 2010?

new to forum. My wife loves the style of the mini’s, me too. 🙂 Interested in a 2010 clubman with bad engine.After reading info on the Internet I am a little concerned about quality of the engines. Would a 2011-2013 engine be an easy swap in a 2010. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated, even where to purchase engine. I live in southern central Pennsylvania.

The easiest and simplest way is the replace the pistons and rods with forged parts. This will make the car better than the N18

It all depends on the issues with the current engine.

N18 swap requires the engine, engine harmess, N18 ECU, some rewiring and coding.

I had all of the parts from a parts car i bought by "mistake".

I’m doing a couple right now and it’s about $2500 in parts and machining. Labor is another $1500 if you have to pay someone
