couple of question

Is there a way I can get another JCW kit plate? I want to have the valve cover hydro dipped and I don't think I can take the plate off without bending it. I may try the dental floss trick, but the plate is kind of weathered and would rather replace it.

Is there a way I can tell what size these injectors are? I thought I would of had 380cc since my R53 has the JCW kit installed

My plates came in today and just had to show them off

The 380cc JCW injector's have blue tops.....it looks like you have the standard 340cc injectors. They didn't start doing the 380cc injectors for the JCW cars until 05' I think.......that's when the dealers started installing the kits. That's also when they added the JCW air intake.

Mine is an 03' with the full JCW kit.....and it had the same standard S 340cc injectors. I upgraded to some Bosch 380cc injectors a year ago and even got a new tune to adjust for them ....to be honest, I didn't notice any difference at all. Unless you are planning on adding a header, or cam, or bigger head.....I would leave them in there.

It's just taped on. Use a small screwdriver and it will pop off. We take them off all the time. Some new tape and you can put it back on

Yes those are the stock injectors NOT JCW. The JCW would be blue where you see the tan on yours.

Is there a difference between a Nissens and TYC besides the price?

The 210 bhp JCW Tuning Kit was available October 2004. An Upgrade Kit (JCW airbox and 380cc fuel injectors plus associated tune) for the 200 bhp Tuning Kit was available at the same time.

Nissens is an OE supplier while TYC is OE for some like MINI aftersales lighting, its not for this part. Last time i checked it was VDO. So its a lower cost option and you can see the motor housing is black vs. the motors design on the Nissen.

My factory OEM MINI motor locked up on my R52 from salt and road grime. Also it had over 150K on it.
