Cold weather alert chimes, will not STFU!

This is driving me crazy. If the temp is low enough to trigger the chime and message on the dash it just keeps doing it randomly the entire trip. It's like chinese water torture. Is there a way to silence it?

I don't know if it helps to know what triggers it, but it will go off every time the temperature hits 37 degrees. So if the outside temp keeps fluctuating between 38 and 37, you'll hear it a lot.

There's no way to disable it as far as I know. Maybe with some advanced programming, but that's outside my knowledge.

Mine is annoying too, but only chimes once per start.

Mine seems to be random. Its in the 20s here now and it goes off at start, then randomly as I drive. Seems to be worse when driving slowly, less frequent on the highway.

Yep, it sounds like the temp is just varying between the trigger temp and a little warmer, so it keeps going off. Mine will do this too if the temp goes up, every time it hits 37 degrees it will chime the gong! Lol. Usually it only happens once or twice but it’s up to the weather.

The trigger is 37 degrees F. I work second shift and on my trip home if its around the 35-40 degree mark ill hear the chime when i fire it up, then again when i go down through a tunnel then again when i cross the bridge. Once it either warms up or steadily bellow 37 you wont hear it except for start up.
