Hey all,

My wife drives a 2019 Mini Countryman. It was having some problems answering calls. The in dash display would pick up the call but then it was dropping to (on the) phone audio. To try to resolve I unpaired, removed the pairing info on the phone and removed her phone from the car's system. I then rebooted her phone and reengaged the pairing.

I Think this seems to have worked (at least for now). But for the life of me, I cannot remember how to change the device from showing as "iPhone" to something custom or at least how the phone is referred to in the about settings on the phone.

I am wondering if it stays generic until an additional device is connected.

Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!
