Awesome find, I have that dash in my HO R52 Convertible, its super rare, i dont have the steering wheel, that's even rarer, its real wood. The panels in that Generation were made in france and are plastic, but look very good.
A beauty. Suggest adding supercharger service to your to-do list. Should have been done ~100K but would be good idea to do it again even if it was.
OldYank-Not sure if you're making suggestion to me or original post....I've recently done the supercharger service during a water pump replacement. Attaching the invoice for others reference (and astonishment). I'm the third owner. Car was from Florida. I plan to have the car a long while...like forever...so I put in new parts so that I know what I've got. Wouldn't have bought the car if I didn't think she was a "beauty." We were due for a convertible finally but the return to euro-cars after a respite (previously owned VW Scirocco 16V red, bought new/Mercedes 190/Saab 9-5/Audi 4000/Audi A4, new/BMW 535is) has been a sore reminder of how painful used euro-car ownership can be. My Mazda CX9 new/Toyota Prius/Ford C-Max new/Pontiac Vibe GT have been relatively ownership easy by comparison. Except for the Pontiac (6spd Toyota VVT-i motor-loved it) they are pleasant but not "fun" to drive. Need the fun factor in my life.
There seems to be a small collection of "pumpkin" R52 around me (MA) per this post topic. Definitely a New England color. We should probably plan a gathering/drive of the "pumpkins." I recently noticed someone in my neighborhood has a "pumpkin" R52 too. I know of a "cruise night" at Cobb Corner Sharon MA (parking lot of new Walgreens, former Rite-Aid) every Thurs night I think as one possible thought.
before signal LED lighting upgrade, improvised the weather-strip seal at air box until I can source a new one inexpensively My son's artistic ability.
Hi, You are correct in that I was responding to OP. Sadly, my 05 R52 has gone to Maine to a new owner. I'm on the outlook for a replacement, but with an auto trans. Of course, it must also be a pumpkin! I found one in Florida, but it broke on the test drive and I could not stay around until the dealer could have it repaired (and I was gun shy anyway because of the failure). Still looking, and would like to participate in a pumpkin patch.
