I stumbled upon an old classified ad for the MINI Head Up Screen Retrofit kit. I was wondering if anyone has installed on in their 2nd gen MINIs?

I'm a huge fan of HUDs and love my Navdy, but it doesn't fit that well in the MINI and the company support is now dead.

I did find this post from the F56 forum, but their dash pad is totally different and doesn't provide a useful comparison to a R56.

Thanks! I was hoping it would look a little less awkward on the 2nd gens. I was wrong.

Maybe behind the wheel it looks perfect but my OCD would go nuts looking at it off-angle.

 

Yes, i bet you can make it set down a little more the R55-R59 dash has a ridge to it which you are looking on the back side of it.

 

I am so keen on this device, its just a pity that the app for navigation to drive it no longer exists. I have heard of talk about having it work with the factory NAV (which is what you would think it would do by default..crazy i know!) but i haven't seen or heard of any developments.
If this worked with Google Maps everything would be wonderful!
