Powdercoating inside of 2-piece R90 Wheel

I checked the archives, and countless "Show me your wheels" types of threads on different sites, but I haven't seen any stock silver 17" R90's where someone had powdercoated the inside to the color of their choice.

Obviously, I got the idea from the Anthracite R90's but I'm thinking of going darker, with a more metallic finish than the Anthracite as I think it would better on my Silver/Silver MCS. I guess the closest thing would br the silver/black Fliks that you see a few guys running, but the finish would be completely different.

anyway, if anyone has already done this, let me know. Or even better, put up a picture. I saw that someone painted their R90's white, but I'm interested in the dual color using Powdercoat.

I'm in the Los Angeles area, and I got a quote from a place that will do the set of 4 for $250.00, as long as the wheels are in good shape. This includes the prep, powdercoating and finish. From what I can tell, that doesn't look like too bad of a price, am I wrong?

Any input would be appreciated.

I haven't seen a set of R90s powdercoated or painted like you mentioned but I have thought of doing it myself.

$250 is a good price for the set- do they take it all apart to powdercoat then put it all back together again?

If you do it, don't forget to keep those R90s clean of brake dust to maintain the nice shiny finish.

I got my R90's painted white. I posted a thread/pic within the past month on the forum about it. They look AWESOME!

Yeah they'd take it all apart, and put it together after the powdercoatinging process is complete. I'd leave all the bolts around the rim silver to add a a nice contrast to the inside color.

I think those anthracite R90's look pretty sweet but since I'm driving a silver car, a darker contrast would look even better.

Yea I had my bolts (or whatever those are) left silver with the rest of the wheel painted white. Looks AWESOME!

There is a place in north hollywood that is one of if not the best wheel repair shops in SoCal. I had probably 20 people tell me that they are awesome and now I have to agree. If you don't have a set of R90's yet you can get a really scratched up set and they will fix that for free. It might save you a few bucks. I think they charge more if the rim is bent though. Oh and they will mount/balance the tires on your car for free in about 20 min. I think the site is www.fixarim.com

With my luck, I'll probably have to call them the day after I get my newly powdercoated wheels mounted!!

I'd recomend the Exel Radius Hyperblack. They look awesome plus I have a set in 17x7 laid in Kumho Ecsta's MX. There's pics of mine in the Wrap up of the Fall on the Dragon.

Those Exel's are pretty pimp, man. That's the look I'm going for.

I'm putting up a pic of the wheels so all can see...BTW you can tell where I found the pic, but where did you get your's?
