2006 JCW with Body Color Roof
Does anyone else here have a factory JCW (or any JCW) car that is equipped with the body color roof option? I just noticed with all the JCW cars I have seen, I haven't seen another one. I've been watching them recently as we have had more activity in this sub-forum. I don't see too many MINIs with this as an option, let along the Cooper Works cars.
Maybe in 40 years it'll be the option that makes my car the surviving unicorn.
I found an old thread but it has been almost 10 years since the last post, I'm not going to resurrect it...

I havent seen too many MINI's period with matching roof. When I considering ordering one I spec'ed with matching roof and mirrors 
. With all the combinations possible there are probably a few unicorns out there

You are probably right. I just think about all the Mopars floating around from the 60s and 70s with wild options lists they had. There's always a 1 of 1 Mopar floating around somewhere.
Mine had chrome (awful) mirror caps, they are currently black. I don't know how I'd feel about Chili Red mirror caps.

No body color roofs in my collection. Do have a silver roof on my Space Blue JCW and it has chromeline exterior and chrome mirror caps

I just acquired a 06 JCW with a body color (dark silver) roof. Slicktop with a chrono package and nothing else. My car looks just like RandyL,s but i have the window sticker and it doesn't mention an aero kit. I just assumed the body color "flares" and what not were part of the JCW package.

correct the the body colored trim was never offered by the factory and they are all “custom” paint jobs by body shops. Also, the aero kit was just a regular MINI dealer accessory and not part of the JCW catalog. Since it was dealer only, it won’t show on a VIN look up and would only appeared on the sticker if it was ordered with the car in the dealer option section. My car (like most I believe) had the aerokit added after “delivery”
