We went with PW/PW. To my weak old eyes, the combo colors and stripes tend to hide the lines of the car. But, then again, I'm a brown shoes kind of guy ...

Contemplating whether I wanna do racing stripes on mine or not. I don't have a sunroof.

 

Kind of a minimalist thing. Just plain & simple. Altho all factory color combos are great.....I have never seen one I don't like.

My curtains match my carpet.

 

My wife has a black car that is always too hot, and I drive a white truck that I can't keep clean, so I chose to keep the roof dark silver.

 

I drive an '07 SS/SS w/black Phat bonnet stripes. Here he is. Since I bought him off the lot, I really didn't even put a whole lot of thought into the matching roof and body color - I just picked out the one I liked the best and that was in my price range. A few years from now I'll probably go with something in blue.

 

Here's our other baby! 08 MC arrived from Oxford on 12/28.

Wow, I never realized how awesome some of the combos can be when the roof and body color are the same. The PW's, CR's, and various blues are amazing. I realize it wouldn't be very feasible, but it's too bad MINI ever discontinues a color. I've seen some pretty interesting ones that no longer exist. Ah well, I guess you could do a custom paint job if you just really wanted it. Shouldn't run too much in a MINI eh? Not that much surface to paint!

Seems like matching roof/body owners really like to keep their cars "pure" i.e. no stripes or craziness. Must be a personality quirk. I was contemplating stripes, but now I think I'm leaning more towards chrome scoop and chrome mirror caps - different but subtle.

 

I don't know, both our cars are matching roof/body, and we both have stripes. I agree, it is on an individual basis with strong influence from personality.
