so i'm up at school in bar harbor, maine, where the nearest mini dealer is 350 miles or so away in peabody, mass. so far i've come across only one mini with maine plates! it's pretty cool though. in NY now no one pays any attention but here i actually have people rubbernecking! and people are constantly telling me how cute it is. it's kind of nice when i'm in the mood for a little attention, and i know sam enjoys it.
so anyone up here to talk to?

I split time between the Bangor ME area and the Boston MA area.
My sis in Bangor said she sees 6 MINIS in the Bangor area frequently.
I must admit my MINI attracts alot of attention when I'm up there.
Maybe one of those Bangor MINIS will post here?

 

In August we were in Camden and Bar Harbor.. Saw a few MINIs there.. I think NY, Georgia, and MA plates.. Don't think we saw a single MINI on the highways..

The Calais Border Patrol on the way back into the US made some comments about the MINI.. a near quote "What kind of car is this?? This is one of those rich people cars isn't it?"

 

I once passed a CR/W Cooper on the ME turnpike around Auburn. Driver was frantically waving before I even got a chance to. Turned out to be a little old lady!

well i just found out the owner of the local auto body has the only other mcs around, so maybe i'll check him out on monday and see if he wants to start up a club! ok, so maybe a two car club is kind of lame, but we have to spread the word!

 

Happy to say I've just become the 7th MINI owner in Bangor, ME!
What a friendly bunch...always an energetic wave back when I flash my lights at fellow MINI drivers.
