How to do a Seafoam SPRAY for 08 clubman

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to do a seafoam SPRAY treatment to my 08 clubman. I searched the video on youtube but can't find one for a r55.
Correct me if I'm wrong. I know the spray supposed to go through the intake air throttle and not applied to mass airflow sensor, but I have trouble to locate the throttle and the mass air sensor seems like locating on the left side of the air filter, which means there is no way to avoid the spray to hit the airflow sensor.
Could anyone provide a correct way to do the seafoam spray treatment?
Thanks!

Not a 100% sure....but seem to recall you have a non-S...
So a n12 or n16....if so you don't need to seafoam...your fuel sprays the back of the valves, keeping them clean, and seafoaming MIGHT cost you a sensor if done wrong....
For the no-turbo cars, a bottle of Techron© or bg-44k as a really good fuel cleaner added to a tank of fuel is all you need....and just so you know, MINI was selling the Techron as their own branded detergent for a few years....

I almost put Seafoam in my car today, but then I seen this and held off...I was going to put some in the gas tank, as my car had been sitting for a while prior to my purchasing of it. Can Seafoam damage the injectors from putting it in the tank?

Seafoam is no different than most "cleaners" sold at Walmart....
It about 50% light mineral spirits, aka #1 diesel fuel and 50% alcohol...(many addatives skip this modern fuel contains so much)
Maybe a little bit of something extra ...
It how it's used that makes it different...as a fuel additive, it not that great.....the fact you can fog with it makes it useful. There are much better gas tank addatives....
No worries....it's not the going hurt your car adding it to the gas tank. You will losse a couple points of octane, but that's true with most addatives.

I haven't had the courage to try sea foam in my MCCS. However, I do use it to clean the exhaust tips when the carbon starts building up. It works well on cold tips but even better when warm.

Yep! I had the seafoam laying around from a previous car and thought I'd try it out.

Do not do this Seafoam thing. Remove the intake mani and position each piston TDC for each cyl you're doing and mechanically clean the ports with a lab brush and some carb cleaner. This is the cheapest way to go. Or, get a media blaster from Harbor Freight and a Coolant hose that fits the intake ports and jerry rig your own media blaster. Good luck

I wouldn't use any addictive into the fuel tank. It can cause your o2 to burn out. Trust me, this happened to my previous vehicles which was a Scion tC's o2 sensor and my Nissan Pathfinder catalytic converter after I used fuel addictives..
