I've replaced my factory mount TWICE within the past two months....got fed up with it. I'm blaming the fact that all the other mounts are polyurethane and that damn hydraulic mount couldn't take the added stiffness.

I just finished installing it and immediately I notice the passenger side of the engine isn't sagging anymore. Will take her for a drive shortly but it is a very nice piece and well constructed. Looks great in the bay

Thank you Mini Mania for the smooth transaction. Great vendor to buy from!!

Very minimal. I immediately noticed the engine feels more 'connected' if that makes sense. Feels just like when I get a new factory mount but tighter. comparing it to driving around with a blown out mount for two weeks it's like night and day.

I purchased the road version, because I'd still like my car to be bearable.
Also noticed, could be a placebo, but cornering feels a bit more intact. Possibly due to the fact my motor isn't rocking around like a hog while Cornering over small bumps.

Shifting through gears under throttle is WAY better.
I'm sure as the mount settles in things will only get better.

If your current mount is blown, I HIGHLY recommend this as a replacement.

Yes, it's expensive but it will most likely last the life of the car.

Yep, this mount is great! The engine/acceleration feels tighter and more responsive, sort of like great turn in with the right suspension and low profile tires, but with the gas pedal.

Can this mount be used on it's own, or is it advisable to use their "dog bone" mount as well?

You can use it by itself but usually if your hydraulic mount is bad your dog bone is bad too from the added stress. Their mount is pretty expensive so I went with polyurethane on all the others instead

+Infinity on the Vibra-Tecnics. I have the upper and lower mounts. on my 03 R53. One of the best mods by far

I actually bought this mount a couple years ago in protest to the hydraulic-filled OEM mount, which the first one leaked within 70k miles, and 2nd one within 20k miles. I decided to stop mucking about and get serious and get this bad boy, and this is one of the best mods I've bought.

Yes, it is a tad expensive, and it was a rather tight fit to get it attached, but when it was bolted on, this will surely never move. Differences? Well, I also have the Powerflex bushings for the transmission mount, and the lower motor mount, so engine vibrations are definitely increased, but overall I've been very happy with it.

A Mini with 151k miles on it is going to have more vibrations than one straight from the factory.
