CoverKing Seat Covers Installation and Review
My Roadster has the leatherette seats so that means back sweat and burning hot seats.
I lived with the back sweat last summer, but the wife was always complaining about the hot seats on bare skin.
You can get the CoverKing VelociVent/SpacerMesh custom seat covers from Costco for a mere $99.
At that price what is there to lose?
The covers are now installed with two days worth of rides in them.
Installation
The covers did not come with instructions; however CoverKing has the basic instructions posted on their website.

Here is what my seats looked like before installation. The standard letherette sport seats, without the lumbar support.
(forgot to snap a photo of the seat back covers)
One side of the seat back covers has a flap for the side-impact airbag to deploy; make sure this is to the outside of the car. On the other side is a zipper. Keep the zipper unzipped during installation. Push the bottom flap between the seat back and bottom, and secure by pulling tight while pressing the back panel velcro in place. Finally zip the zipper to further tighten everything down.
Here are the seat bottoms.
Note how the front bottom edges are not symmetrical. One side has a hard plastic "rail" embedded in the seam (see photo above), and the other side has an elastic strap with a hook. (photo below)
Seat bottom hook.
Make sure the rail is towards the outside of the car and follow the instructions from the CoverKing website (above). If you raise the seats all the way up you will have plenty of room to work with.
You should end up with something like the photo below, note how the "rail" sits above the plastic seat base.
Push the rail under the edge of the seat base. The plastic will hold the outer edge of the seat cover in place.
Review
After 2 full days of driving I am 100% satisfied, especially given these covers were only $99 US.
No back sweat, and while the seats get hot from the sun, they don't burn the bare skin.
The seat centers are not completely flush with the seats, but not really an issue. Again these were only $99.
