Upgrading GP 1 to xenon lamps?

Hey all,

Just curious if anybody has had success upgrading a GP 1 (or I guess any non-xenon R53 for that matter) from halogen lamps to xenon lamps.

I have searched and not found much info on this.

If not, what halogen bulbs has anyone upgraded to? I have xenons in my 2005 R53, and I'm not looking forward to losing them when getting into a GP 1.

Thanks in advance!!

Sooper

The full OEM retrofit is quite involved and includes the washers and leveling sensors:

You might consider removing the xenons from your 2005 (replace them with halogens) to install on the GP.

Honestly, I have never found the factory Xenons to be all that much better than the factory halogens. Certainly not worth the expense to me...

Halogen bulb technology has come a long way and I would seriously consider upgrading to a better bulb (Osram NightBreaker; Osram Rallye) before spending the money on a Xenon conversion.

I'm sure others will disagree.
