Changed brands of oil and the results are crazy

I recently changed my oil from castrol 5W-30 synthetic to Mobil 1 extended miles synthetic 5W-30 due to recommendations,it was 4,000 miles between oil changes. now my mini feels much smoother and has a more peppy feel to it.
Shes a 2008 R56 bone stock with 101K and needs some new coolant hosing.
Does anybody have an explanation for this?

Hmmmm interested in the responses you get since I am due for a oil change... Was thinking of picking up some AMS oil but not sure just yet.

I don't know but I would be surprised if it wasn't the placebo influence. Sorta like a clean car running better.

I can defiantly tell she runs better, not as much noise on start and while driving.

Placebo, known here as butt dyno. I just experienced it myself with a switch to lubri moly from castrol.

as far as I know Castrol 5w30 is relatively thick compared to other 5w30s, that could be part of it

If they are clean, then it revs higher.

What does a butt dyno look like and does ECS carry them and if so how expensive are they? Body color or Carbon Fibre

Think there is an app for that , we don't carry them as they are sometimes very high on there numbers compared to the manufacturer numbers. Only seen them in CF.

And too big to ship.
