Okay guys, about 6 months ago one of the cables snapped on my top, and I just bought a salvage Mini for parts. How do you remove the complete top? I figure you have to unlatch the front and the back in the trunk, are there any other things? I'm assuming there are wires in various spots that need to be unattached.

So.... how hard would this job be? And how do I do it exactly? In my head just transferring the top from the salvage would be easier than fixing the cables on mine 😂

Not sure if this will help, but I did find this thread on NAM here. The videos may be a bit helpful. If you plan to do more jobs on your MINI like this the Bentley Manual may come in handy. Good luck!
