I am trying to figure out exact specs on the exhaust for my factory JCW so I can buy a replacement stainless steel pipe and have someone I know cut it out and weld the replacement back in. I know it's a pretty common modification but I am still struggling to find any exact specifications or details on the job for exhaust diameter and how long it needs to be. Can anyone give me links to details on it so I can just buy the pipe instead of having to go to a shop and spend a lot more? Thank you!

 

I believe that the exhaust is 55mm. You are probably best to crawl under the car with a tape measure to check the length. You can also wrap the tape measure around the pipe and measure the circumference, then get the diameter from that.


I wouldn't think that the shop would charge too much for a length of straight pipe.
