Can TPMS warning light be shut oof.

dGo some new, to me wheels and tires. They are all mounted and balanced so they don't have the TPM Sensors installed would like to put them on the mine for a few day before I repair the scratches. Can the warning light on the dash be shut off either through stalk and onboard computer setting or by Coding with BMWhat. Just want to runaround until the repair kit gets here. 2011 Clubman Justa. Thanks in advance. I know in our Expedition I can do it.

Thank that is pretty much what I figured out last night. Started thinking about got up 12:30 looked through my BMWhat info and the owners manual and came up zero. Guess I will order the repair kit and then have the tires dismounted or at least have the front bead broken so I can repair the rims easier and install the sensors and then have them rebalanced. If I put them on my Wife will complain about the light. I just don't feel like putting them on to see what they look like but probably will at least on one side. R84 Xlits with 205 55 16 Tires. Curb rash not bad because there is not the lip like on most wheel. This more sand and paint or I might just take them to Vendor we used to use when I was working and have them powder coated.

Put the R84 Xlites on today and not issue with the TPMS. The original pressure was 28PSI and then I raised it to 35psi and no warning of flat or low air pressure. So I don't know if the wheels have sensors or on. The valve stem is pretty flexible not stiff like the ones on the stock wheel. Drove it about 50 miles running around town this after noon no warning light. Strange. A thought just came to me these are run flats, don't think so will have to go out and look at the side carefully in the morning. They are 205 55 16 Riken Raptor ZR Directional tires. I wonder if the dealer did something when I brought it for service and the RF tire was going flat as I pulled and the light was on.

I know with VW and Audi you can go in through VAG com and code it off regardless of having sensors or not. Might be able to call a Mini indy shop and see what they say.

MINI does not have a item like Vag com. Our platforms are not that easy to access and not that open book. We deal with allot of VAG stuff here and MINI is always more complicated.

You would have to have it coded with NCS expert or a similar platform.

Otherwise you can get the sensors here: There is a split year in 9/2009, the sensor are free ship and come in sets of four with valve stem and caps. They are from Huf which is the OEM manufacturer for MINI TPMS .

9/2009+ sensors: 36106856227 KT

They pop right in on most factory wheels and then you are gtg once it reads the sensor, might take a quick drive down the road.

I have a set of sensors for them, but have not installed them. I installed the wheels on the Mini yesterday with out the set of sensors I have. Now warning light have come on yet. The valve stems that are on the look like good old normal valve stem and are flexible as I have to bend them some to add air to the tires as my chuck was not type I really needed. When I fist put them on they had 28 psi and I did test drive, forgot to check air pressure. Go back and an hour later decide to check the air pressure and brought it up to 35.5 psi. and again did some running around and not warning light. So for right now I will leave alone until I take them off to repair the curb rash and when I do I will break the front bead to make it easier to work on the wheel and then install the sensors and see what happens. Maybe there is some on wheels or there is another issue.

2011 Clubman Justa : possible the wheels have the TPMS sensor with the flexible necks, that look like normal necks .

Did you get the wheel / tire set from another MINI ?

I think that is what i have as no flat or low tire lite yet. I saw the black flexible one in you online catalogue.

The black flexible , with no bolt are for stock non tpms . There are aftermarket TPMS sensor that have a flex neck, might have those. Are our the non flex type.

I guess that is what I have. When the repair kit gets here I will have the front bead broken to make easier to sand and paint the edge so then I will find out. Right no light so I am happy. I will keep this set of OEM sensors (grey/orange) just in case.

Dropped Granddaughter off at school and on the way home the light came on Gave the symbol and inactive across on the Digital readout in the Tach. also the TPMS symbol is on. The inactive light and symbol goes out in a minuet after start up so no big deal. It's no intrusive so will leave it for now.
