Does the dead pedal on the S come with the aluminium cover as standard? Every pic I've seen so far of an S interior has it, but my car has a plain rubber dead pedal.

Mine came with a metal one with rubber slats in it.

The 2003 models have alluminium pedals.

 

My 03 came with black rubber pedals.

 

Shaskan, thanks for the first reply, anyone else know if this is standard or part of the leather package? I have leatherette and all the ones I've seen so far have leather interiors.

I have the chrome with leatherette...2002 S .

 

I have premium and cold packages with cloth and have rubber brake/clutch/gas, but my dead pedal has a nice metal overlay on it.

Over here (UK) the 2003 models are coming with allu' pedals. It must be different in the U.S.

 

Ok, time to call the dealer I hope this was an honest mistake and not some lowlife with a screwdriver.

dead pedal is stock.

2Minis did you have to drill into the stock pedals to make the new ones fit??

Nope. Slides on after removal of rubber on brake and clutch
and over the accelerator rubber. Tightens from the rear with
a hex wrench.

 

OK now for one final ?? Where did you purchase those pedals and are you planning on attending MINI MEET #3 on Nov.16? I hear its going to be something really special.
