R50/53 Weird electrical problem
Weird electrical problem
Hi NAM, thanks in advance for your help.
Anyway, I recently bought a 2006 MCS. The driver side window, driver side mirror, and keyless remote don't work. I haven't had the door panel off yet, but I was hoping for some guidance on where to start.
I am pretty sure the remote itself works because I was at Autozone the other day and they have a RF/IR remote tester that picks up a generic signal if you're a foot or two away from it, and it picked up the RF coming from the key...but the car doesn't lock/unlock remotely.
As for the window and mirror, the passenger side window and mirror both work, but the driver's side doesn't.
What should I look for? Fuses? Wiring? Is this a common problem?
Again, thanks for your help everyone.

The electrical system POWERS all the doodads but its the ECU that controls them. If the ECU isn't happy with it's power source all sorts of weird gremlins start to appear. I'd sure have the battery checked static and under load. It takes very little drop in battery efficiency to start the gremlin process.
