You won't need a catch can with an N18 since it has been very good slowing down the carbon buildup. I would definitely just plan to walnut blast the MINI around 80K miles(which I have another 15K miles till then).
The JCW started to carry the N18 engine in 2013, but it was introduced to the MCS in 11-13.
Thanks guys, I appreciate the assist. I'll use the cash for a turbo heat shield instead.
I wouldn't do that. Many people took them off due to it melting their valve cover. I'd use that money on other productive mods or even a turbo blanket from Alta.
I've not noticed a problem... After NM tune and limited slip dif with all my mods, still a Z350 beating beast! When should I expect too?
I know man I'm happy you're satisfied with your mods. I'm still playing around with a few things. I would expect to just do it as a maintenance category and maybe around 80k-90k miles is a reasonable time to do it, if the mechanic finds any buildup at all.
Yep, agree... Had old G/F ask when I'm trading in? I told her I'm 3 yrs+ and $16k in and ALMOST finished!!!
Hahah yeah I hear you on that. People always ask why I do it...cause it's a MINI!!! But agreed, I burned a Mustang and a few other V6s. Sooner or later I'll have to pass by in Georgia if I go to Florida soon so we can catch up!
