Does anyone have the Park Assistant in their new Mini, or have demoed it?

I'm interested to know how the car interacts with the driver: through voice prompts only, display etc? What if the Park Assistant is configured but without Navigation system or Mini Connected (thus no large screen).

I have seen a demo on YouTube - It has a sophisticated display from a rear view camera with overlays and while quite informative, it looked a little overworked and it seemed that such a system would require the larger screen, and obviously a camera.
Is the Mini system available in a more bare-bones version than that?

Also, is it possible to configure the automatic transmission with paddle shifter in the base Mini Cooper? I could not see the option on the US Configurator.
