Loud Exhaust Problem

Hi all,

My problem is loud exhaust

I have custom made 4-1 long headers and custom made alta style exhaust system. It is pretty loud.

I'm thinking about changing it with two ***** style like oem.

I need ideas to make it silent but i need performance too

Please help me.

Weld in a large and high quality resonator in the straight section of the exhaust.

Or, you can do what you said, and add an additional muffler. What kind of muffler are you using right now ? Some are just over-sized resonators, while others actually have baffling inside.

Do you recommend any resonator ?

That's a nice exhaust... Kudos to your welder.

Your last "muffler" is just a resonator at this point. You can try adding another one on the other side for a "twin ball" setup, or you can try using an actual muffler with internal baffling. Considering that you're already running a midpipe resonator, I don't know how much of a difference another resonator will make.

That is beautiful! And loud isn't really a problem is it? If so, you can always go to an auto parts store and pick up a generic stealth resonator that will drastically decrease the noise, if you already figured it out, I think we'd all appreciate more pics of this exhaust!
