The Dinan pkg is similar to JCW, which may add a couple thousand at the most. I think if the car is well maintained, there are lots of guys who prefer 1st generation r53 because more mods an go-kart feel. Good luck with your sale.

That's a plus. 05-06 is the best year for 1st gen model.

I work for MINI and that is a beautiful BRG R53! Very Nice! I would agree on 13900-14500... I'd ask for $15k to start though. 75k is low for an 05... that's less than 10k miles per year! And it still looks amazing. Our cars will be the new classic soon. Just impress upon the ad that DINAN anything is so rare and special. Who knows...it's all in the presentation. I used to do digital marketing and take pics of dealer inventory for the internet. Was a great job. Use those nice pics you've shown us along with interior shots and close ups. Good Luck to you!

PS... I wouldn't rely too much on Autotrader or Cars.com for this. They will probably generate the most activity, but a specialty car like this is better on eBay or even Craigslist. People who are shopping look for 2 things... Price and Mileage... your MINI may never get seen by the majority of shoppers if they sort that way. Utilize our forums, eBay, and Craigslist... if you have no luck, Autotrader might be an alternate site at that point. Just my 2 cents... again good luck to you

I have an 05 mcs jcw pkg that if I were selling, I would list for $20,000-21000. Not alot of folks would consider it except the car enthusiast who is looking for an r53, no sunroof, silver, LSD, no bells no whistles, just pure fun. Oh and it has 14k miles on it.

If you are not in a hurry to sell it, you will get a buyer who wants a well kept r53. You have the premium 1st generation mini. Maybe put some s-lites on it to keep the OEM look.

Good luck with the sale.

IMO Your price seems way out of wack when you can get a 06 GP for that or less. Just saying.

Then you have one like this with LOTS of money in it and all for $11000.00

you are right. IF i were selling it, I would sell it at a premium because there is a market for well kept 1st generation r53. Someone would have to make an offer I couldn't refuse. GPs are a bit nicer but being a 2 seater limits your buyer.

I'm just reluctant to pull the trigger and give it a RMW makeover because it is in such pristine condition with low miles.

That '05 is pretty nice, but I'd say having an aftermarket head, etc, brings down the market value, regardless of any performance benefit. Most buyers want as close to stock as possible, especially under the hood.

I think $15k for OP's car sounds like a reasonable starting point. Prices up here in the frozen north are steeper, and pedestrian 05-06 R50's are still listed at $14k+

I agree with this also, but the OP may have to sit on it until the right buyer comes along. I would post it on every free site I could if I was eager to get rid of it.
