OEM bluetooth on an '11 R56?

I've searched until my mouse hand is cramped. Will the OEM bluetooth upgrade fit our 2011 cooper S with base radio but with satellite radio? The website says up to 8/2010 build, but who knows if that's the last car it'll fit, or when the website was last updated. Anyone?

Here is the information I have. Produced from 8/2007 to 8/2010 . Works with Navigation and CD boost radio which is on base and HiFi systems.

Up tp 8/2010 MINI have the display with the single ****. Face display is silver.

8/2010 on have the double ****. And the face display is black.

So you will know what interface you have.

Here is a thread where the Sirius and Bluetooth are talked about. The Sirius install kit is NLA.

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...bluetooth.html

And a little more about install.

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...elivery-2.html

And here is the install page with install PDF.

Post # 22 has the PDF. And then talks a little bit about the install.

If it does work you will need additional coding at a MINI dealership.

Thanks and hope that helps.

I have the later double ****. Does that mean it'll work or no?

Double **** like the one above, is the 8/2010 + in production. You should have a sticker in the door jam that under the VIN number or near it shows the production month and date. 8/2010 on it does not work for.

Thanks

I'm 1/11 build date, looks like it won't work.

Yep the kit will not work then.

But since you have the newer system, the ULF module only above is shared on the 8/2010 + installed factory Bluetooth. I am not sure if you could get the module and wires exist for the 8/2010+ models. I am curious to see if there is cables in the box under the seat on 8/2010+ if they are pre-wired in any way. Like its pre wired and then needs programming, if you ever get a pic of the inside black plastic box on the passenger side , I would like to see what wires are there.

And we are in the Gen 1 section, so hopefully the moderator can move the thread to Gen 2.

Thanks
