R56 Aeroforce Interceptor in my 2008 R56S. Any experience?
Aeroforce Interceptor in my 2008 R56S. Any experience?
So I'm looking to add an Interceptor gauge to my R56. I dont really track the car. I've done it a couple times but it's not something I do often. Really just looking to add a bit of fun gadgetry to freshen up my day to day driving a bit.
In looking at the list of supported parameters from Aeroforce website for this car, it looks pretty slim (given what little I know of this stuff). This list is attached.
Now, I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to tuning and all that, so really, from this list, or in anyone's experience that runs these gauges, is there anything here that really would be worth my time in getting this gauge to monitor? Anything that I can use for "fun" daily driving, such as when to get an optimal upshift time, or stuff like that? I know this probably sounds kinda dumb, but like I said, really looking for something to add a bit of fun to the car. I realize I wont really be utilizing the real power of the gauge but I'm ok with that. However, if its really a total waste just to get like one parameter to look at, then I dont want to TOTALLY waste money on something like that.
Any input?

I have. Basically the same thing right? I like the aeroforce because installed it will look more stock and match the current setup better.
The text in the photo is too small for me to read.
In my SGII, I usually have fWT (coolant temp), LOD (load), MPG (trip MPG), and VLT (voltage).
For fun, I would swap out MPG for something like AFR (air-fuel ratio) if available, and if I had the MINI-specific version I'd probably use the oil temp readout.

Sorry, no experience with the Interceptor. I have the updated SGII. I keep EOT (oil temp), Boost, and Intake temp up. I switch the 4th to MPG or A/F depending on my mood. Doesn't look like the Interceptor does oil temp without an external sensor.
The Scangauge does boost without an external sensor? Looks like the aeroforce doesn't do that either. Nor Lateral G's. Does the scanguage do lateral G's?
No lateral Gs on either it seems. I use my Harry's Lap Timer for in car video which reports G forces for me. The SG takes all the info as calculated or sensed via the OBDII port, so no external sensors needed. As to how SG reports boost (direct measure vs calculated value), I would have to defer to someone else with more knowledge in OBD info.
