Is that actually possible? Tried using Mini media player, all songs play fine, but videos and/or video playlists are not getting detected.
Mini Connected is not detecting external device on AUX saying that there are no compatible devices connected.
Appreciate any help.

You can't with an iPhone 5 at this time. Apple got rid of their analog video out. Connected does not have a digital video in at this time.... I keep a pre lightning connector iPad (2 to be exact) just for the purpose of using the video on trips (for the passengers.... ahemmmm)

Wait a minute... you're wanting to watch video stuff instead of being engaged in the ever changing world of other automobiles intent on being where you want to be at the same time you want to be there? I'd be more interested in the idiot in the other car not paying attention to his/her driving as they drifted into my line of travel.

 

+1 One of the main reasons I quite riding a motorcycle.

 

Maybe they want to watch videos or maybe use the video function to display a nav app or obd2 app with a jailbroken iphone 4 or 3g ipad......

 

Either way, they're watching something else besides the traffic and the thread heading does state: "How to play videos and movies..", guess you weren't watching the 'traffic'.

IMpresssive but one major major major problem. You still have to have your smart phone out and available because you can't control the screen or functionality via the big screen - you are still controlling it from the phone.

Well if you are having to control it from the phone and look at the phone to take care of your steraming video, type in addresses or modifications to your route on your iphone... well at that point you might as well just use your iPhone

I get that the screen is bigger and nicer but it is a bigger distraction to have that screen up, an dyou looking down at the iPhone rather than just window mounting the iPhone and controlling/viewing it altogether in one spot (much less fiddling around if something goes wrong).

So great stuff.. but still not practical UNLESS you just want to put on a movie and watch it straight through.. steaming audio and nav is impractical with this due to how often you will probaly need to push buttons on the iPhone itself.
