Hey guys, so I got myself into an unfortunate accident. Luckily the only damage was done to my door, but its to the extent that I cannot properly close my driver side door. I have a 2003 r52. I believe all 1st generation mini's have the same door. Does anyone know where I can get a driver door besides ebay or craigslist? I've been scouring those for the past week now already

Yes its the same door metal structure on the R50 R52 R53 models.



Is it just the door creased or is the hinges or sticker latch bent a little.

Thanks Braminator! I couldnt get to calling them today because of work, but they definitely have a few electric blue 1st gen mini's so I'll talk to them tomorrow.

ECSTuning... Ah I believe its beyond savable. The front end of the door near the side mirror is completely bent in to the point that it pushed the inner panel towards the interior of the car and because of that it won't close properly. #4 in the first picture came out of the door structure and I had to unscrew the star bolt so that I could close the door.

 

Richie Liu - figured the door was damaged, just wanted you to check the other hardware to hang the door as it might be bent / broken (in addition to the door ). Then when you get a used or new door it will not close / line up properly. Let us know how it goes and good luck.

 

I see! Thank you for the help ECS Tuning. I will definitely do so. So far I've only seen damage to the hinge, but I'll take a closer look. Your diagrams have helped a bunch too. Everyone on the forum is so nice! Haha. Thanks again!
