Check engine light problem

Ok guys so yesrtuday I was driving normal to my friends house on the high way and out of no where I see the red temperature light on so I pull out on the next exit. When I get out of the car I see the coolant hose spilling all the coolant. I got a zip tie and drove to the next autos hop and got it fix. New coolant 50/50 and a clamp for the hose that some how got off. But now I get this check engine light on all the time I have a ultragauge obd2 reader and I clear the check engine light of but when I turn the car off and I turn it on later on it comes back up any help?

You might try unplugging the battery for a few minutes and see if it clears.

So you can clear the light and it comes back on, but throws no codes? Did coolant get on any of the electrical connectors anywhere?

Have you lost any power or notice any other issues?

You probably have an air bubble in the system, if you lost much coolant. There is a cooling system bleeder screw on the top of the engine, right hand side as you are looking at the engine from the front of the car.

You just loosen it, don't take it out and bleed the air out, when it stops sputtering air, tighten it back up.
