R50/53 1st DIY VT Motor mount installed thanks to NAM
1st DIY VT Motor mount installed thanks to NAM
Bought an 05 MCS a couple of weeks ago and passenger motor mount needed to be replaced. Picked up a VT motor mount yesterday from ColinGreene (NAM Member) who also explained how easy it is to replace. Thanks to Colin and several NAM threads, I did my first DIY project on the mini.
Here is the OEM mount that was almost bone dry:

Put them on late last night and haven't driven the car much. I was told they have to settle in. I didn't notice additional vibration. The process was pretty simple thanks to the NAM write-ups and tips from Colin when I picked the mount up. I was reading the steps on my mac as I was doing the install.
Does Collin have a website, or do I just PM him if I want to order one?
To get one from VT directly is like $300 if I remember right, and then there's shipping from UK. Can Collin really get one cheaper for me? Wondering how he does that

He is a member on here ColinGreene. You can shoot him a pm. Picked it up from him in lieu of shipping (both live in SoCal) and he was pretty helpful about the install (along with the NAM write-ups). The install was less intimidating than I thought. I just followed the write-up on here to the letter.
It looks like you have a washer in between the top of the mount and the motor mount arm.
I would check on this and if it is the case remove it.
Outside of that looks good.
It was nice to meet you and your car is spotless!
