So I am sitting in English class right now and were watching the news. I just wanted to let everyone know that is affected by this "explosion" during the marathon. You are in our prayers. I know this is off topic but I want this out there. Be safe out there and I hope the guy/whatever his name is gets caught soon. Just wanted to send some love to the whole Boston, MINI enthusiasts out there! Damn we live in a terrible world...

 

Turn on the news...but thanks! This week a LARGE number of MINI folks are on a GROUP vacation down in a warmer climate..out of the country...boy are they missing tons!!
It is a mess!
The city is basically CLOSED.
two suspects were identified late last night...they then robbed a 7-11 shortly thereafter...then killed a cop sitting in a car in cold blood (shot in his car from BEHIND), later got into a gunfight, 100+ shots fired, the older brother was shot...then DRIVEN OVER by the other brother trying to get away in one of SEVERAL hijacked cars...also threw BOMBS and Grenades out the window...with explosions....(he died, allegedly wearing a suicide/bomb-vest)...the second guy is on the loose...so one MIT cop dead, a second officer (with a 6 month old baby at home) in critical condition....
now the police are doing a HOUSE TO HOUSE search in a wide area ( about 20 square blocks)...full military gear, M-16's with military help...
Folks are LOCKED IN THEIR HOUSES. Many hoses have BULLET HOLES...some in interior ROOMS!!
The entire suburb of Watertown mass...NO CAR TRAFFIC. PERIOD.
Greater Boston Area..no public trans, trains, and Amtrak Stopped.
Multiple "controlled" explosions at the suspects home as other devises are disposed of....

The above is a summery of things pieced together...nobody is really sure what is up...but when 100+ shot gunfight are air live, and local TV is running 14+ hrs of "emergency" coverage....it is UNREAL!!
Worse than a bad made for TV movie........
But these guys made lots of folks mad!!

A good Shotgun for most every home I think!!
Think all those folks, hiding in their hoses/basements, Praying that Nothing happens, that have been told to NOT DIAL 911 unless it is a DIRE EMERGENCY are thinking that old line...
"The only thing that can stop a bad person with a GUN is a GOOD person with a GUN" and since most of the cops are busy....lots more folks are gonna be wishing they had their own!!

 

Yep I agree, Boston is almost like a ghost town! I wonder how much more time till they actually capture the suspect!

 

That really wasn't what I was going for. I just want everyone to remind everyone that those are just recently over or are getting ready to be over and not to forget. These two have brought what we all feared to our shore, again. I can't really put it into words what I am trying to say.

 

Naww, I got it....just different with families and friends here in the "mainland" US, and not trained, mentally prepared it is several degrees worse than folks LIVING in a war-Zone/contested area under civil war....

Unfortunately, some folks in government may take this as an opportunity to reduce liberties, rather than further the principals this country was founded on when the FIRST SHOOTS of the US revolution were heard in BOSTON!! Kinda Ironic.....without personal ownership of guns there would be no USA.
I know for one, I would want to be able to defend my family...
and I DO HAVE DIRECT relatives HIDING in their HOUSE at this MOMENT, blocks from the shoot-out site....

 

M******* here, i drive nights in the Boston area, was a ton of fun last night with the giant dragnet they have out in watertown. I hope noone else gets hurt and they at least get some answers for why, the family of these brothers are all on the news here and they dont get it either. The local college in Dartmouth not far from me now is locked down the younger one thats on the loose now was there as early as yesterday so i guess they are looking for bombs there. Unreal i tell you no sleep today.

 

Went to Medford today and me and 1200 Teamsters did guard duty to keep the Westboro Baptist Church from protesting the woman who was killed from the bombings funeral. They said over and over on Twitter they were there and god was in Boston but they never showed. At least the family and friends could mourn their friend without irritation. After there was a rumor they showed up in a van and saw the crowd we had and did a U turn. If they try protesting any other services it could get ugly. Now I am going to finally get some sleep. Stay safe everyone.
