I read a thread on here about a DIY for the cold air intake and i personally don't wanna do it that way , do any of You know of a way I could just go to auto zone or advanced and hey the parts I need ?
Aside from the intake itself What would I need ? Any ideas ? Or is the way in the DIY the only way ?

And just a reminder!!
It is YOUR CAR!! YOU can DIY it anyway you want.
If the filter is open to the engine-bay, it is called a HOT-AIR-INTAKE (HAI).
Some are mostly closed, some entirely sealed from the bay....have fun!!

I just need an idea for mounting , most DIYs involve boring out a hole in the stock box for mounting and i don't have the tools for that

Just get a tube from Home Depot and a come filter and clamp them together if all you want is a less restrictive intake. I wouldn't worry about it falling down because the stock airbox bottom would still be down there.

The tools for Boring are a hole saw and a power drill...you could rent the Power drill for free at Home Depot and the hole saws are $20...

Search in the annals of early NAMdom for Andy@RossTech's 'Hot air intake'. That was a pretty cool DIY. Those of us who remember him, miss him. He took no bull and has a great sense of humor.
