'05 MCS Engine Rattle at Idle

I've heard this sound now and then, but it always went away once the engine warmed up. Now I am hearing it consistently. Any thoughts as to what it might be?

This '05 MCS has 175K miles.

Sounds like the Supercharger. It might need to be replaced or rebuilt.

Have any experience with this as to the cost (replace vs. rebuild)?

Depends? Can you turn a wrench? If yes you can save a lot of money. Here is a link that just started about who to use https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...c-rebuilt.html
