JCW interior with paddle shifters

When you order the JCW interior with an auto box, you still get the paddle shifters right? I know there was a thread with people buying the full JCW model with autos and didn't get paddles.

Placing my order on Friday and still not 100% decided between an R58 or another R56.

Thanks

Many left the factory without it and MINI is doing a retrofit on them. So you will have nothing to worry about when ordering your. Good luck

Is there a JCW wheel with red stitching and the thicker rim for the auto transmission? Or is that a manual only item?

The thicker JCW wheel with red stitching is not out yet. Its from the GP 2 which is manual.

You can always take a regular steering wheel and stem it to Redlinegoods.com and have them make you a replica. It would cost you about a $100 less at least.

I've got a extra paddle equipped steering wheel in great shape. My Hatch has a Dallas Custom Steering Wheel and my Clubman has a JCW thick alcantara steering wheel and honestly I kind of regret buying the JCW one now. I should have ordered two from DC. My recommendation would be to go custom.

Below is a link to what I had done but there are tons of options, materials, etc.

Took a ride up to Sewell Mini to talk to them in person. Also, wanted to see the GP they had in the showroom. So, the JCW wheel that comes from the factory on the JCW CM is essentially a stock wheel with red stitching, no other difference. The 90 they have in the US are being held for the people that had their autos delivered without the wheel. These wheels will be available at some point but not currently. Honestly, the only difference is the red stitching so I am not sure it is worth the money. So I decided to pick up the JCW Alacantara wheel and modify it to fit the paddles. I read a write up in this over at MA and it is not hard but it does take some patients and nerve to make the cut outs for the paddles on a $350 wheel. Besides the cut outs for the paddles, you need to drill 1 hole to mount the paddles and you are done. Should take about 2-3 hours. Who can guess what I will be doing when the Wife and kids go to bed tonight?

Link to MA DIY.

Dumb question but if one wanted to remove the paddles and not use them, what kind of errors might that cause? If any since many of the 13 JCW CM's did not have the paddles installed from the factory...
