Over 100K miles on your R56?
I am trying to find R56 MINI's with over 100,000 miles. There are so many posts about problems with MINI's, it would be nice to see some posts about MINI's that have worked well. The highest mileage I was able to find on a R56 was 165,000 miles for a 09 Clubman shown on the link below. Please only show mileages over 100K.

There is a lady near here that has an 07s and drives 240+ miles four days a week, and has been since she got it. I'm sure she has more than me now. I will try to meet up and see how many miles she has. I see her on the highway almost every day.......going different directions.

~112,000 miles on my '08 R56 and still pushin 18psi. Bought the car brand new back in the summer of '08. I've had a good deal of issues along the way, sure, but none that I wasn't expecting, and none that would ever make me want to part with the car. My MINI is my daily driver, and it's still running like a champ.

I haven't really made a thread or blog yet, probably should though haha. It's been quite a long road with this car. Feel free to PM me if you have any specific questions though. So much with these cars is trial and error...
haha you should and thanks bro right now i am looking and thinking what should i do first to the car i mean its auto but idk what mods they have for an auto R56 S
I didn't have to eat the crow for dinner, and I am thankful about it.
You know the deal you buy a civic it is in the shop 20 times people say
oh, you know, all brands have lemons. You buy a mini and it goes to the
shop once people say HEY MAN YOU HAD AN MG DIDN'T LEARN YOUR LESSON EH.
120k miles essentially no problems. leaking oil pan and valve cover gaskets both fixed by me. A bit of a hassle on this current engine light I have tracked it down to
a vanos actuator and I am waiting on the part. Otherwise, changed brakes, plugs,
belt, oil, and tranny fluid. I originally had the service plan but I wouldn't get it again
now that the book is out.
It's actually done better than my CRX did, bought new, made in Japan with
all Japanese made parts at the time.
Unless it suddenly starts falling apart I plan to keep it a long long time.

103,886 on my '08. They tell me I'm right at the limit of timing chain stretch, so I expect to replace the whole assembly now (if the guides are damaged) or later (if they're not.) I had it replaced in 09, but before they had designed a more lasting fix. Otherwise, it's been reliable. Change your oil every 7K, and make sure that it stays topped off between changes, and you'll minimize some of the other problems you hear about.

just had mine changed @ 62k. Just bought mine at 61k, don't know how well the car was maintained before me. I plan on 5k oil changes and expect to have to change it again around 120k.
