Purchasing a '13 JCW

Hello everyone,

I'm interested in purchasing a new JCW from a local dealer here in the north east.

I know the options and such vary from car to car, but I'm curious to know how close to the invoice price people are paying.

Anyone know if Mini offers any hold back on the JCW?

What are the tuning options like for the JCW? I haven't really been able to find any solid information on folks that are tuning these cars, what kind of boost levels they're running and what the dyno numbers look like.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the tuning info.

Not sure I'm a fan of any of the options at this point in time.

Hopefully someone can shed some light on pricing.

A JCW, you will be paying sticker or close to sticker anyway.

A few people have gotten slight pricing breaks (I got a little off sticker $1.5k), but most dealers won't cut deals on them.

Things may be changing in that area now since MINI seems to be trying to saturate the JCW so they seem to be coming much more common then in the past.

Good luck, you will not regret it!

It depends.

End of the month? End of quarter? end of year? Is the car they have really the one you want? Is having to compromise on options and details for as long as you own the car really worth the savings of taking what they have? (Sorry, but I'd never do that. Dealers order cars for stock with some things, but when I was shopping, there wasn't 1 car in the US that was what I really wanted. So I ordered it, and paid for it by only getting a few $100 off.)

Big Deal. I got what I wanted with no regrets at the time. Now after living with it for 3 years, some things are different. I will never again buy a sunroof car. I don't like it, it's noisy, it may rattle, I had to put limo tint on it to keep from baking, it's heavy, it's expensive... And I just don't use it, or wouldn't miss it if it weren't there. (but that's just me...)

All that said, I still spent about $6K on stuff... (intercooler, tuning, shocks, springs, bars, snow tires and wheels, assorted carbon and JCW bling..)

So.... Don't worry about price exclusivly, make sure you get what YOU want. A lot of options are frightenly expensive or near impossible to add later...

Good input. Will likely be the end of April that I actually pull the trigger.

The car has everything I *need* in a car, the only thing that is a nice to have that it doesn't have is the nav, which isn't really a deal breaker.

The only thing I would want to add after are the front driving lights. I imagine that wouldn't be too costly.

There's about 8% margin in for dealers and I understand there is no holdback on these.

Shoot me a PM, I'm in the North East as well, I can give you the email of the person I worked with to order my GP and can likely save you a good chunk of that margin.

Thanks, I'll get in touch when the date gets closer.

Which dealer does your contact work at? The car I am interested in is at Mini of Peabody.
