Few questions about Trim

The previous owner was into blackout......black rims, door handles, some type of tape all along the windshield and window trim, black rims, black bull bar etc.....even the Mini emblems are blacked out.

I got replacement chrome for the rear and front headlamp and tail lamp rings, two new emblems, the rear hatch handle, and the upper and lower grill trim. I searched and couldn't find how any of this stuff gets taken off. The tail lamp and headlamp rings look like replacement pieces, but I believe the rear hatch handle is a cover. The rear hatch handle on there now looks to be painted, I can see where it is chrome underneath.

How do these pieces come off? Screwdriver and prying?

Got a pic of the bull bar? The TL rings just pry off gently with butter knife and soft cloth, HL rings have little clips, raise bonnet and look underneath, press and push up.

If they used black Plasti Dip, the color will just peel right off the trim and you can save yourself some time and money getting the black off.

Where on the Tail lamps do I start to pry?

The Headlight and tail light rings seem like they are really black pieces, but the rear hatch handle may very well be plasti-dipped. I may end up replacing it, but I think the piece I bought for the rear hatch is a cover only.

The bullbar is really black, and has PIAA lights mounted on it. That thing has to come off in time, and I want to mount better looking lights up on the grille where they belong. Haven't been able to figure out whether the holes in the grille that mount the bullbar brackets are gonna be the same for mounting lights without the bar. Can't tell if it's a hack job on a regular grille, or a grille that was made with cut-outs.

The PIAA lights that are on it now look like something I'd put on a Jeep. They work wonders in the fog and rain, but I don't like the way they look on a Mini.

Hey Karl, I know that car. The black is Plastidip and should peel right off. And I installed that bar for the previous owner. Shoot me a message and I'll clear it up for you.

Be glad we didn't install the side bars too.

You also have Koni yellow shocks, TSW springs and a H Sport rear anti roll bar.
