Help me find springs please!

First of all I'm new to the mini cooper and fairly new to FWD, I've got most of what I want to do to it figured out except for springs.

So hears what I want:
A linear spring rate (very important to me)
A good front to rear balance similar to factory
Probably as high of a rate as some koni sports can unless theres some better recommendations.

This is for a 05 MCS I recently purchased and I do plan to attend autoX and tack days not competitive but just to have fun. (I raced miata's until a drunk driver in a pickup smashed my beloved 94 last winter)

your best bet for springs if your focus is handling is the Swift Spec R springs,
If you cant find them PM me and ill be happy to point you in the right direction.
they were built by swift for the minis with handling in mind.
they have a linear rate and slightly more rear to front ratio to help the car rotate better
I have used them exclusively with bilstein struts so i cant tell you how they function on the KONI stuff.
however I hear good things.

I use Google, and add the "site:northamericanmotoring.com" term to the other search strings provided. This works ever so much better than the site search provided here.

Try this?

Cheers,

Charlie

Thanks for the quick reply! I checked them out and that looks to be what I'm looking for. I already have the koni's so that's what they'll be run with.

Thanks for the tip! I was able to find the answer to a wheel fitment question I was going to ask in a matter of seconds.

The only other linear option that I know of is the Texas Speedwerks springs. The ride is better than stock and the balance is neutral throughout. These are the springs I own and they are an incredibly popular choice with the Koni. Way Motor Works sells them for $230. The Swift sprung would dec. Be my second choice though. Either way, tou can't go wrong with the options in front of you.

+1 on what Colin said. You can't go wrong w/ Swift. Aside from being engineered for performance, they should be lighter, too.

In your case, Swift would be the best option. Right now it's your only option since Waymotorworks doesn't have the TSW Springs right now, nor do they have an ETA on the new ones.

The Swift Spec-R handle amazingly well with the JCW shocks. I can only imagine that the Koni Sports would be even better!
