Kite Blue/Chili Red JCW

Has anyone ever seen the Kite Blue/Chili Red color combo in person? Thoughts?

The Mini builder tool at miniusa.com won't let me add a Chili Red top to the Kite Blue. Maybe they can do this at the dealer?

My guess would be no. Just like how you can't get a CR roof/mirror on a MCS (if your main body color isn't CR).

Yeah, I even tried it on a John Cooper Works model and had no luck configuring KB body with CR roof.

I don't think they'll let you put a red roof on the Kite Blue, but it's not too expensive to do it later.

The color combo doesn't exist as a factory option so painting/wrapping after delivery is your only option. Here's an idea of what it might look like.

I never would have thought about combining those two colors, but it doesn't look bad at all. As a matter of fact, I really like it!!!

There is a reason they don't do it and it is probably because the design team said no on that combo. For example during MTTS 2010 the MINI was debuting the refresh and one of the cars on the rally was a Spice Orange with Green interior. Lets put it this way everyone thought it was terrible and Jim McDowell said heck no on that combo. That is why you can get that one either. BTW, finally MINI allows you to paint the roof more than 3 colors. Wish I could have a different color. Ahh j/k I vinyl wrapped mine something sweet.

This is starlight blue + chili red. Not the same as kite blue, but similar. Looks pretty awesome to me on screen. Wish I could see one in real life. I'm pretty sure it'd look equally awesome, if not better. If I had $40k to spend ...
