Looks like the tunnel spokes are gone...

I just went on the configurator and I couldn't find them. I guess they were just running through the last of them they had in stock and now they're all gone...

Does that mean I have a collector's item and the value of my CM just increased??

Just kidding folks

Seriously, I think it's too bad. I have received a lot of positive comments on the wheels. People think they're an upgrade.

I didn't really like them. The dealer offered me an R60 with them, but I wouldn't take it because of those.

according to the parts guy at my dealer, they are still available as spares and will be for "the foreseeable future"

That's exactly why I don't like them.

I like them because they make a 17 in wheel look bigger to me. They also cover a lot more of the brake/caliper, so I would think that the brake dust wouldn't be as much of an issue.

I wanted them originally, but my MA told me they were no longerr avaialable so I took the anthracite 17's. They've grown on me now, but if I come across some tunnel spokes cheap, I may switch them out later or have one set for summer tires and the other for winter tires.

I like seeing my brake/calipers. I will actually get them in a different colour to bring them out more. I don't really have a problem with brake dust because I wash my MINI often and I don't really ride my brakes.

It's all subjective, of course. We went with the black TSpokes at the very last moment and are glad we did...from OUR subjective view.

From a pragmatic perspective, I can tell you that these wheels do not collect nor show the brake dust like our '04 MCS X-Lites or the wheels we have had on our various BMWs over the years. Yes, they hide the calipers but I guess that's part of the reason the seem to be dust free most of the time.

YMMV,

Amen Brother Bueno! I have the anthracite T-spokes on a white CMS with black roof. I think they are da bomb. I purchased some used std silver 5 spoke CM wheels for winter use. I think the car just looks plain wimpy with the std silvers. I'm going to paint them black to try and improve the look, but they still ain't no T-spokes.
