How much mileage are on those puppies? They look ready for replacement to me.

color wize I'd say you are fine. What you have is tan or what some would call 'biscut' and that means things are OK. You don't want oil or hard black carbon deposits.
So far as wear, well I don't see anything that scares me. Don't be confused by the look of the tip. On older plugs the tip is isually about 1/8 inch in diamter and if you saw the end as thin as this you'd know that plug had seen a very long life. But modern plugs, especially the iridium type used in the MINI come out of the box like that. This picture from MINIMANIA shows a typical GEN2 "S" plug

So I'd be happy with this plug, would check the gap ('cept I'm not even sure what is supposed to be cuz most come today "pre-set") & replace when over 50,000 miles
p.s. from MINIMANI: Cooper S - 15-20 Nm or 10.8-14.5 lb-ft. Recommended electrode gap: 0.8mm or .032"

im having idle problem. Does it matter with spark plugs?

and just to confuse you more
if it is time to replace the plugs it is also time to replace the wires . . . and possibly the coil pack . . . .
yes, if the plugs have more than 50,000 miles on 'em I'd replace, and if I saw no improvement I'd move up the line .... wires ... then coil pack.
That's what I did on my 79 anyway . . . plugs, wires, rotor, cap, coil and points.
but as an indicator of 'engine performance' the color of the deposits on the plugs says you are running OK, and the plugs do not show unusual wear.....
nothing different here than my earlier post.

what sort of an idle problem?

Problem Iv'e been having on my 07 justa. When driving in stop and go traffic, the rpm drops under 700, to about 500, and vibration will be felt throughout the car. Any other users get this?
To get it to happen, take your car into a parking lot, let off the brake and apply very little gas, to move less than 2 mph, then let off the gas and apply brakes. Do you see your rpm drop below 700?
here is the link. I know the video shows civic hybrid but this is exactly same situation I'm suffering.

I noticed that you've got an auto trans. (If the first video is yours) These do put more load on the engine than a mamual and if theres an issues with the trans that may be causing these issues. Its a shot in the dark but have you ever changed the fluid in the trans?

The "lifetime fluid" is a sham. Do a quick search on here
most recommend changing every 30k or so. Does it have any shifting issues? Transmission whine? If not that can probably be ruled out.
