saying goodbye to my '04 R53

First the good..I'm getting a new 2013 JCW Coupe on Oct. 22!

But I just put up my old MINI up for sale

I'm gonna miss that car tremendously. I love that car. I didn't think I would become emotionally compromised at the prospect of letting it go (I'm a guy), but... it's been the best car I've ever owned.

I'm 100% positive I will love my new MINI it's just hard to say goodbye to such a great friend.

Anywho.. here are some pics of my car. I hope it goes to someone who loves it as much as I do!

Congratulations on the new car... that's a very clean looking R53 you're passing on. Good luck with the sale!

I hope you optioned your Coupe black with orange stripes, you'll have it just in time for Halloween.

Thanks!

No orange stripes (which would look cool).

It's white silver and black roof with stripes and challenge spoke black wheels.

Maybe I can dress it up as Batman!

Nooooo! '04s are the best! And it's a beautiful Indy Blue too!

Well ... at least it appears it has been a difficult break up for you. I would be really down if I ever gave up my '04.

Al the best with your new ride though!

Hard isn't it?

Gollum is sitting in the garage, freshly detailed and waiting for the new owner.

He and I have shared some of the best motoring of my long and eventful driving (and riding) career.

I also want the new owner to fall in love as I did.

But the new Justa is under construction and I am equally looking forward to a new chapter in H Stock, to follow 8 years in ASP and STX.

Let us look forward and keep all the great memories!

All the best,

Charlie

Mine is under agreement, pending my return from India. It is listed in the FS section.

I rather doubt the buyer will back out.

I forgot to say thanks for the good advice Charlie!

I am looking forward to future motoring fun and I know I'll never forget the fun times I had in my '04.

Best of luck with Gollum and your new MINI!

Also, thanks to all the other well-wishes!

and karfrik good luck with your MINI search!
