I'm thinking about it plus other alternatives. Wondered what it sounds like, if it is any different than the stocker? It has a "Y" pipe in front of the muffler, but otherwise looks the same... but that's only looking at pictures, maybe the OD of the front/back pipes is larger?

I really like mine; part of the JCW tuning kit. Not too loud, no drone at highway speeds (it will sound off when floored, or accelerating up hills). Was just what I was looking for, very pleased.
Sounds good. Did you do the complete JCW exhaust system or just the rear muffler? I made a deal for a almost new JCW rear muffler sans tips, and I have to drive over and pick it up. I was also thinking of doing the resonator delete. I don't mind a little snarly noise LOL or the pops and gurgles... and everyone seems to love the resonator delete. If I had the mod money I'd probably go Magnaflow or another, but this sounds like a decent alternative that won't sound like a 700 HP ricer with a coffee can at 75mph. I have some sweet looking slash-style rolled tips that I would like to use. I think they are 4" OD with 2.5"OD pipes.

It does sound great!
Picked up the JCW Exhaust today guys... here's a look:

Just about brand-new as you can get as a take-off. Maybe 500 miles on it? Noticeably larger OD Y-pipe and exhaust pipes.

Those are the tips I'm going to try and use. They are 4" in diameter so they will fill out the 10" slot quite nicely LOL. New JCW tips are $165-$175, and my son got these for me at his Porsche-Audi dealership. Somebody did a exhaust changeover and he had one of the mechanics cut the tips off. Pretty much made like a Borla or a Magnaflow with a full internal flare all welded and chromed. Now I have to find a shop that will do the resonator delete and also weld these tips on so they're straight with about 1/2" gap. Should look and sound pretty nice.

Went to a local Road Runner Muffler shop today and had the JCW installed. The shop was recommended by enthusiasts on both Massdriven and LightningRodder forums. Beautiful job the owner Steve did for me. Custom bent the filler pipe to match the factory bends on his machine. Amazing... even expanded the slide-over and then tig welded it after making sure it fit 100%. I have to admit I was concerned that it might be too loud... but nope, its reasonably quiet except when you get on it. At 70 mph there is no drone or boom, but let off and there's a nice sound. At idle there's a little burble, and also in-between shifts.

So I'd give it a 9.5 out of 10 only because I wish it was a bit louder LOL. But I'm happy. Charged me $65 for the delete which included welding the tips on. I couldn't be happier. The finished product looks great too... these tips are beautifully made and very classy looking.

Turned out great!
Do you know if the muffler you bought had miles on it? Mine's gotten a bit more "vocal" now with 5,000 miles. Still no drone, only barks when you kick it!

Thanks guys... it turned out nice, and if it gets a little louder with age then I'm OK with that because like I said, I thought it was going to be too loud and its really got a nice sound at idle and whenever.
My understanding was that this was a take off on a new JCW, basically couple thousand miles. I think the car was hit and totaled and the guy kept the tips. Other than the rusty seam weld (see pix) at the inlet "Y" the entire unit was as new front to back.

I like it a lot don't regret at all... gives the car some personality, and I get nothing but compliments and questions on the tips LOL.
