So I know from expierence that everything on the R56 is retrofittable but, does anyone know the part(s) needed to retrofit satellite radio into my 07 MINI S?

Talk to your Mini dealer. They have a kit with all the parts.

I purchased my 2009 CPO a few weeks ago and they installed the SAT radio...worked great.

I think the part is about $475 and install about $400. Plug and play harness under the passenger seat if the car has Satellite radio prep in your option.

I was quoted $1,100 total. ($599 part, $500 labor). Ummm no thanks.
I did an install myself for less than $200 total.

Here's my complete How To for the install on my 2008 R56:
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...8-mcs-r56.html

It's really pretty easy. Anyone can do it.

I saw your write up and it is awesome for you to put the time and effort to share. Thank you!

I like the bracket you made and do you still have the template you can share.

If cost is at all a factor, you'll want to follow OaklandMini's recommendation. My son looked into this for his 09 Clubman S and was quoted a similar amount. Like most factory installed options, adding later is really pricey

I will echo the recommendation to follow OaklandMini's solution unless you really, really want the Sat radio to be part of the head unit. Using Oakland as inspiration, I made my own bracket (very similar to his) to hang my XM One off to the left side of the tach. Still have to finish my hardwire. Altogether, I'm probably still under $50 invested due to a gift card, but would probably still be under $100 at full price.

Yeah, I have the template.
It's posted in that thread as a PDF, and you can find it here:

Please note that this arm is somewhat special I guess because it works in conjunction with my external Garmin 360 navigation unit for the R56. Shown here:
