in the market for an exhaust set up, been reading mixed reviews about the fitment issues with Riss Racing set ups, seems a little steep for the way it sits or any used exhaust. Seems kinda minimal WHP gain<$$$$

It has the down pipe and low miles, but no resonator pipe (which may or may not matter to you). Price wise, just shoot him an offer. Value is debatable...it has more to do with how badly he needs to sell it and how many bites he gets.

Regarding CEL, they all can throw a CEL. Now that we have good tuning available it is a moot point. CEL complaint threads stopped once RMW and Alta Accessport tunes hit the Mini world.

Drone. It's very subjective. IMO, it's performance vs comfort. A wide open 2.5" performance exhaust will have some drone. Some people are sensitive to it, other people are not. For people that are, they should stay factory. A resonator pipe reduces drone and performance. There is always a compromise.

Fitment. Centering the tips is not rocket science. Anything else is easily remedied by a muffler shop.

!! Disclaimer: I have a new RR system without DP but with both open and resonator pipes for sale in the classifieds. Never got a chance to install it before I traded my S in for my JCW.
