dave - how has the ride changed? did you have to make any other adjustments to the suspension?

Nice...Looks like you got 17"s all over again.

Those 16" fill the wheel well nicely. I'll be interested to take a spin with you to "feel" the difference in set ups.

R U rubbing at all with the 16s? I have the 215...17 Yokos
and ocassionaly rub. Love the tires though. Thanks for the
advice. Stick like glue once they are warm.

Looks great. Is there a significant improvement in handling?

No, to my knowledge there are no struts available yet for the series 2 suspension. There are full coilovers available, but no struts. So I'm running on the stock struts. Obviously not the preferred route, but it's the only route right now (other than the full coilovers).

Well, it's a little more firm. I believe BMP claims the H&R's are about 25% stiffer than the Sport Plus suspension on the Cooper S. That said, I'm running regular tires, so the ride is still more compliant than when I had the run-flats. No other adjustments have been made to the suspension. Just the springs.

Not a problem. I'll see you at the autocross on Sunday.

yeah, I miss those 17's, but they are heavy. The 16's and regular tires handle a lot better and cut a lot of rotating weight. Definitely helps accelleration and that Cooper S 1st gear bog to ditch the 17's and especially the run-flats.

I have not noticed any rubbing, but I only just drove the car home from getting the springs installed. And yes, I like my AVS ES100's too.

I'm going to preface this by noting my comment above about how I just drove this home from the install. That said, I think it will help the handling, but the proof will be on Sunday when ficcion, mferguson, and I go to the BMW CCA autocross.

One thing to note: The back end could really use camber plates. Regular tire rotation is going to be a must. The fronts wear on the outside, the rears on the inside, so at least the wear should even out.

I must say that looks pretty nice. It doesn't look too low where it'll bottom out on every little dip.

Lookin' good there Dave. Nice balance of drop. You'll probably be putting that new skid plate to the test now, eh? 16's look better, imo. It would appear that the modding bug has claimed another victim. Keep it coming. Good on ya.
Cheers,

They save as a *.bmp (bitmap) file. Just save it and then open it in something like your windows paint program and then do a "save as" and select *.jpeg.

Try changing the file name and adding the .jpg extension. That should take care of it.
