Hey everybody! I think it'd be a good idea to put our timelines in one easy to find place, so people (like me!!!) don't have to look through signatures to find out approximate dates for production/shipping to compare to. I realize that everybody's timeline is going to be different, but this is a good gauge for those who are still waiting. I just know when I was in the build and shipping process (I'm only at the VDC now) how long things took, and how anxious I was. I called ASKMINI everyday hoping to hear something different, and feed my tracking addiction. Hopefully this will help those who have just ordered or are waiting in different stages of the process.

My timeline is identical, except for the order date, ordered on 2/5. Mine also arrived today on the Talisman. My MA sent me my final update today, with an estimate of leaving the VDC on 3/25 and dealer arrival on 3/27.

 

Hi I am new here I ordered on 3/2/12 , born on3/17/12...according to the website its awaiting transport....How do you guys know exactly where they are and what ship they are on thanks....

If you have your VIN, go to http://www.2wglobal.com/www/WEP/index.jsp
click customer centre, track and track and enter your VIN. If nothing comes up, check with your MA.

Wow you have a lot of information! I only have the bare bones from my SA and the mini site. How did you find out all those details? I'm through the hardest part - now that I'm on a ship I can feel the end in sight!

I got mine through a screen shot (that had shipping and other info) the MA sent to my auto broker. So my guess would be your MA.

I say make him/her work for their commission!

 

i actually called ASKMINI and talked to a person once everyday. only emailed my MA once a week for updates. i listened to the automated guy about 3 or 4 times a day during the build process. a bit obsessed!

 

It seems that being OCD is a requirement for special ordering a MINI..

After steaming through the factory at Oxford like a rat up a drainpipe, my Mini has come to a complete halt waiting on shipment. Neither WW or K-Line shows no sign of a booking and the K-Line vessels are not in sync with their proposed sailing dates.

April 14: Two vessels headed to Southampton this weekend - fingers crossed!!

It took me a week to get a production number. Since then, it has said "On Order" on the website for a week and a half now. I emailed my MA on Friday, 04/13/2012 to see if he could find out what was going on. He wrote me back later in the day to tell me that it was in "Daily Packing Production" on 04/10/2012. I've done a search and created a post on here, and no one seems to know what "Daily Packing Production" is. He said that he would email me today, because they get an updated schedule every Monday. This has been torture!
